Cooking With Omega Twist. 20 minute Spaghetti with Meat Sauce.

Here’s a savory, tasty, & easy meal idea for next week!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Spaghetti and meat sauce with omega twist.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Total cost is about 10 dollars. You can purchase little baggies of seasonings from your bulk section for a couple quarters or more. They last me about a month with using them 3-4 days a week.

1 pound of frozen HEB ground turkey meat

1 pound of HEB organic hundred percent whole wheat cappellini pasta

8 ounces of frozen broccoli Normandy blended to a crumble in food processor

48 oz canned spaghetti sauce

2 tbl oregano

2 teaspoons of paprika

2 teaspoons of black pepper

1 tablespoon of granulated garlic powder

3 tablespoons of ground Chia seed

(3 tablespoons chia seeds adds 12g fiber, 6g protein, 7.2g omega-3s)

½ cup of chicken stock⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1- 8 quart pan

1-16 qt stockpot

4 quart colander

High heat cooking spatula

Spaghetti spoon⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

(TechTip) Use Alexa, Siri, Google to Verbally set alarms with title for each time phrase in the recipe.

Example “ hey Siri, set alarm for 10 minutes from now, titled spaghetti water boil check.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Fill 16 qt stock pot halfway with water, cover, & place on stovetop on 9(high) heat for about 10 to 15 minutes bring to a rolling steamy boil.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Place 8 quart pan on the stovetop on 5 (middle) setting to heat up for 2 minutes. Add 1 pound ground turkey and seasonings to cook for about 10 minutes stirring every three minutes until meat has turned a solid dark gray color.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Stir the following two ingredients together in a separate small container until well blended & place aside.

3 tablespoons of ground Chia seed

½ cup of chicken stock

Add the spaghetti sauce & broccoli crumble & bring to a simmer for about 4 minutes & Reduce heat to 2-3 (low) setting for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes add chia mixture & Simmer for 10-15 minutes to marry all the flavors.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Add Spaghetti to pot of rolling steamy boiling water for five minutes.

Make sure you stir constantly with spaghetti spoon to prevent clumps of spaghetti from forming.

Check Spaghetti doneness by grabbing a few strands with spaghetti spoon & press against spaghetti spoon with index finger.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Once you have achieve your desired doneness, Place coriander in kitchen sink slowly pour out half of spaghetti & water. Toss spaghetti in coriander in running cold water until stream disappears.

This will prevent clumping & stop the spaghetti from getting any softer.

Pour in remaining spaghetti & water into coriander. Toss in running cold water until stream disappears.

Now you have a delicious easy meal that will easily feed about 12 Friends and family. I also will fill a 2 quart plastic with half spaghetti and meat sauce & freeze for dinner two weeks later.
